The Sharks lost for the first time this year, in a thrilling game against the green team on a sloppy, wet day. After falling behind 2-0 after the first quarter, the Sharks fought back, dominating the action. A goal in the second quarter by Cameron drew them closer, and eventually the Sharks tied the game at 2 on a goal by Jake in the third. Despite a barrage of shots during the fourth quarter they were unable to take the lead. The green team finally put in a late goal and held off a final push by the Sharks offense to win the game 3-2.
The game was kept close by goaltending by Matthew, Jake, and Luke; and a strong defensive effort from Sophie, Nate, and Cameron. Liam, Grace, and Izzy helped the offense keep the green team on their heels in the second half.
Despite the final score, the Sharks showed a lot of heart and provided one of the most exciting games of the year.
